A nice first day in Phnom Penh (after the 6 hour bus ride from Siem Reap)

The second day in Phnom Penh took us to S-21 and the Killing Fields....When many thousands were being tortured and killed here (and millions around the country) I was happily sheltered in elementary school...1975-79...All those "boat people" that were on the news had a damn good reason for running away.

On the 3rd we hopped a ship to Caticlan/Boracay. It was called the Virgin Mary and it was old and nasty enough that she may have ridden it herself. The 30 minute long prayer over the ships com system that called out to ol' Mary, in 15 billion different ways, was a bit more disturbing than comforting. Oh pure mother, oh blessed virgin, oh un soiled one, oh enough already. The rats and cockroaches didn't seem to be phased by the prayers either.

On the last night I added my 3rd tattoo and my first color ink to my collection. We followed with a finally visit to Nigi Nigi's.
